APEC’s comprehensive refining database details all refining capacity in Asia Pacific and the Middle East Gulf, by country, company, refinery, major processing unit, from 2003 to the current year. We include 3-year and 5-year outlooks on future refining capacity additions (for the pre-2003 timeframe, we offer selected historical data). We emphasize a conservative forecast, disregarding many proposed but still tenuous refining projects. Working capacity, rather than design capacity, is recorded as a more realistic appraisal of refinery output.
