What is Tactical Consulting?
In taking a tactical, rather than strategic, approach we emphasize:
- A geographic focus on Asia Pacific and the Mideast Gulf;
- We take a bottoms-up approach, building the big picture through an assembling of the nuts-and-bolts of the situation, giving both an overview and small detail;
- We concentrate on the first 3-5 years of a project, trend or problem, focusing our attention on getting the parameters of the situation as finely tuned as possible;
- We pay particular attention to commercial detail and the business implications of the project;
And finally, we tailor the work to the client’s specific needs.
The last thing that busy oil and gas executives need is another large stack of paper on their desk containing, for the most part, generalized information irrelevant to their specific needs. We concentrate on problem-solving and provide analysis, research and forecasting on most issues, upstream and downstream, in both oil and gas. Past work has involved:
- Competitor analysis, discerning and exploring new trends in oil trade, refining, marketing and product specifications;
- Detailed surveys of LNG, Asian piped gas and NGLs, with a specific focus on condensate and GTL, as well as country and regional reviews.
- We undertake regular reviews of product balances, refining (by country, plant and major unit), product specifications, product trade patterns and condensate.
- On certain selected topics we work on a global basis, including LNG, GTL, NGLs, product specifications and refining capacity.
