Because we are an independent organization, not associated with your company and its interests, we can serve effectively in a number of scouting functions, including competitor analysis. Coming from oil industry and oil journalism backgrounds, APEC partners have been asking questions in the energy sector for many years - our queries are not resented, but expected.
As a small consulting shop, we can afford to focus exclusively on a company’s particular situation, proposing concrete and practical commercial solutions.
How we can work together:
APEC works with clients on either a project basis, of limited duration, focusing on a specific topic, problem or forecast, or on a core client basis, which allows us to design a specific set of regular areas of research and analysis for specific company interests. We believe that as a small and focused consulting group, we provide commercial information and analysis to companies at competitive prices.
CORE CLIENTS are advised on opportunities, warned of dangers and informed of changing trends in the industry. Each company’s material is designed for their particular focus, i.e. work for an independent trader will emphasize trade heavily, for a refiner much more on refining and supply/demand. For core company relationships we act as doctors on a 24-hour call, able to respond to any query quickly from across the globe.
PROJECT CLIENTS usually contract for advice on a topic of intense, immediate interest to them. Project contracts have the advantage of direct and focused targeting of simple topics, with no further obligations, after the work is completed and approved as satisfactory.
